Flower of the Week

26 Sep

This week’s flower is:

Anthurium

This tropical flower is also known as Painted Tounge or Flamingo Flower. The bloom is waxy and comes in the following colors: white, purple, pink, magenta, red, burgundy, peach, orange (pictured), green, and bicolor. Anthurium produces long lasting heart shaped blooms all year round. We sometimes sell potted Anthuriums here at Echelon. They are good house plants, but they are temperature sensitive so it is important to not let them get too hot or too cold. Anthurium means think of me, or lover.
