Echelon Moving Update

20 Jun

For those customers not yet aware, Echelon Florist is currently going through a major transition leading to a relocation in a different building in the Rocky Hill Center. Our new address will be 1260 Rocky Hill Rd.
We are expanding the flower department, downsizing the gift shop. But this is great news for our gift and ornament shoppers, because we are having a massive moving sale! There is plenty to get rid of, so the merchandise is all discounted- a perfect opportunity to stock up on holiday decorations ahead of time for very low prices!

The store might be in a bit of disarray as we review and rearrange what we have and what we plan to take, but please feel free to come in and take advantage of the sale, and call if you need anything. We will keep you all updated on our progress and look forward to seeing you at the new store!

Garden Club Meeting

3 Feb

We were glad to once again host the ladies of the Sequoyah Garden Club. Matt gave a great lesson about the care and handling of fresh flowers once you get them home from the florist. Did you know that if you don’t have any flower food you can put 2 tablespoons of sprite for every quart of water in your vase? You can also use 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice/vinegar to a quart of water. Remember to change the water and re-cut your stems under running water every day. Also, you should cut them at an angle so they don’t sit flat on the bottom of the vase as this prevents them from drinking. The better you take care of your flowers the longer you’ll be able to enjoy them.

We love garden club!

9 Sep

We had the pleasure of hosting the ladies of Sequoyah garden club today at Echelon! Laura taught everyone how to build a terarium. Terariums are a unique way to add some green to your home and are very low maintenance. They only have to be watered once a week!
